The brief
Managed a pandemic-era startup as a key member of the senior management team. My primary responsibilities were to lead revenue generation efforts and manage corporate client relationships during a critical time. The company pivoted to offering private COVID testing services, addressing the urgent needs of individuals and local businesses.
Execution
- Business Development and Revenue Generation: As Head of Corporate, I was tasked with growing the business through strategic initiatives and partnerships. I focused on establishing and managing service contracts with large organizations, handling all aspects of account management, including invoicing and payments using Xero.
- High-Impact Client Acquisition: Successfully attracted and secured major corporate clients such as Siemens, Schlumberger, Mitsubishi, BBC, Channel 4, and ITV, significantly boosting the company’s profile and revenue.
- Social Media Management: Oversaw the management of all social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, ensuring daily posts to engage with the audience and promote our testing services effectively.
What was the outcome?
- Significant Revenue Achievement: Personally generated over £800K in revenue from corporate clients within 18 months, demonstrating strong business growth and effective client engagement.
- Expanded Service Reach: The strategic pivot to provide COVID testing allowed the startup to serve over 200 daily patients and offer specialised testing services to local businesses, enhancing community support and health safety.
- Enhanced Company Visibility: Through proactive social media management and high-profile client acquisitions, the company gained significant visibility and was recognised as a crucial service provider during the pandemic.
